Playing with Zooooom
(Accidentally) Discovered a new creative use of my 18-55mm kit lens today in Tangub City when we were there to watch Christmas lighting. Setting was set on 1/3, f/3.5 ISO 1600.
Trick: Set 15mm first then while processing, quickly adjust to 55mm. That’s what I did to have a zoom effect with awesome zooming lights.
Belated Merry Christmas to all!, BTW. ^^;
[D-I-Y] Portable / Foldable Lightbox
It’s really fun doing things on your own especially those D-I-Y stuffs, right? I think so too.
It’s really been a while since I did my last lightbox using HLJ’s cardboard boxes but that didn’t do, really.
So I made a foldable/portable lightbox with the help of illustration boards.

Materials I used:
+ Illustration board (or any thick board)
+ Tracing paper
+ Electrical Tape
+ Double-sided adhesive tape (not shown)
+ Box cutter
+ Pencil
+ Ruler
And my guide: <a href=”http://www.flickr.com/photos/alessino/sets/72157606890076944/”>www.flickr.com/photos/alessino/sets/72157606890076944/</a>

New photoshoot setup??!!

This setup is what I come up with after I slowed down on figure photoreview and since that my brother is now utilizing the table which was used to be a photoshoot area before.
I purposely requested an order @ a glass center to make a 10in x 10in square (fiber)glass table and to mount it to my camera tripod. The design – size is 10inx10in, drilled a 1/4in hole in the middle of the (fiber)glass and inserted a 1/4in nut plus application of superglue on the nut and the glass, mount it to the tripod. It should fit since the nut’s thread is 1/4in so as the bolt on the tripod.
This is a useful tool for outdoor figure photography especially when one includes the nature scenery as the background.
Original concept was taken from a dollfie base/stand which can be mounted to a tripod like this. Photo is from stepwalker‘s photobucket acct.
Sample photos:

Anyway, gonna do figureshoot using this setup some day soon. I hope.
