The first chapter begins with Yuuichiro Kinosaki, the main character having a chat with his seatmate at the plane talking about his dogs.
Then as he was on the way home, he is greeted by an old lady whom he haven't seen for half a year since he was studying abroad and telling him about how great the machine that his Dad made for her. Upon arriving home, sees many strange stuffs lying around as it was his Dad's hobby to buy strange stuffs as he frequently visits various countries for his research travels.


Now, Yuuichiro enters his home and was quite surprised when he saw a cute girl whom he have not met yet. He did not know that the girl in front was Elga.
Elga was really happy now that his master is back and hugged him instinctively. Yuuichiro did not realize that Elga was his dog not until he saw the dogtag with her name writen on it. He then just realized that she is Elga but still confused and add the Dog ear and tail. Then came Luna, her former breed was a Welsh Corgyi Cardigan and Rino, a Doberman. He thought that he was just tired from travel and jet lagged that he's seeing cute girls instead of dogs though he's obviously wide awake. Still shocked with the fact that they're real. Rino then reminded Elga about the letter that was left to them by their master, Yuuichiro's Dad. As the letter says something like Elga and the rest wanted to become a human so, he gave them a human form though they have changed, they're still family so he should still take care of them and he is already in Indonesia for his research.


Despite Yuuichiro still in the state of confusion, he just gave them proper clothing so they would look normal.. except the dog ears and tails though. As Elga really loves Yuuichiro, she's really happy to have her wear his master's clothes and plus his scent in it. Now that it was 2 hours past their feeding time, they're already hungry. Yuuichiro restricts them to have dog food since they're not dogs anymore. Then after that, they all went to call it a night and slept together just as usual.


In the morning they took off for the usual morning stroll running around like dogs. Their habits didn't change at all just like how Luna likes to mark her own territory in public (peeing at an object, for short), Rino seeking for trouble and while Elga wanted to take a pee and can't hold on but now that they're all humans, they should change their habits and act just how normal humans do.


Thereafter, they went home to have breakfast but Yuuichiro doesn't have his appetite and Elga tells him that food is essential or he'll be vulnerable to illness if he doesn't eat, Yuuichiro then asked them to leave him alone for awhile since he's still been bothered by the fact that they're not the dogs that they used to be and he asked them to find their own place to sleep since it would be better for them. After that, a white mice appeared which then led Elga to trauma which then she can hardly speak. Yuuichi then panicked and called his Dad on a long distance asking him what to do about Elga's condition. After talking to his dad, he then told everyone that Elga had this psychological problem and she'll gonna be back to normal wihout doing anything at all, they just have to wait for it.


Rino then speaks up the reason why Elga wanted to become human. It's because she wanted to be of help to Yuuichiro and to others. Yuuichiro then went to his room where Elga is. As he enters his room, Elga notices him (ears twitching) and is very happy and trying to speak something. Then yuuichiro comforting and apologizing to her that he wasn't thinking of her feelings from earlier and as they talk about how he is very lonely when his mother died and Elga is the one that made him become himself again and after some sweet talks, Elga begins to speak again. After that Elga just have tons of stuff to talk about with Yuuichiro and told her to do it slowly and take her time, no need to hurry.


After that, Yuuichiro hastily rushes out because he forgot to get the stuff for breakfast then Elga brimming with confidence with what to do for breakfast... Dog food with milk. Dogs are still dogs in the end.
