Mini Review: ASUS EEE PC 4G

Finally, made a “mini” review on this coolsome gadget. These pics were taken 2 weeks ago but been lazy to post review.

Anyway, got this coolsome “Toy” some weeks ago during my one-day vacation to Cebu City. Reason why I had to buy this little guy is that it is really useful when traveling without lugging a huge 14″ laptop around. This is just 7″, got it? 7″

Specs:
[Model Name: Eee PC 4G] [OS: Linux Xandros; WinXp compatible] [Processor: Celeron M 900 Mhz] [Storage: 4G Solid State Drive] [Memory: 512mb] [Other stuff: Wifi, Hi-Definition audio, Stereo speaker, Microphone, Camera, 3x USB Port, etc] [Weight: 0.92kg] [Battery: 4 Cells, 2.8~3.5hrs*]

Now, getting to the point of this review:

The box. It is small at about 10-11in.

7in Eee Pc vs 14.1in Aspire 4710…

Asus could have just made the screen bigger and it would be a sure win…

All in all, the Asus Eee Pc is just so small and really portable.

I apologise for the lame review… it’s just that things that I should have wrote here were suddenly lost.

My new stuff:
OS: Linux Xandros Full Desktop mode
Added program(s): GIMP image editor

    Sweetness. Portability is always a nice thing to have for people always on the go. Thankfully, wherever I need to be usually has a PC so I don’t have to burden my wallet even more with gadget purchases ^^;

    Since I drive as well, the excuse of using something portable doesn’t hold up quite well too and nobody will ever believe I did a blog post on the road (which is pretty much the only thing I might need to do with a PC I imagine) since my fame as a lazy bugger has reached the ends of the earth xD

    One other thing though, when these PC’s reach this size, are there any problems with typing and all that? I was always of the opinion that typing would be rather inconvenient owing to the size, any truth in that?

    @shino=Hehe yep typing is a problem with this uber small keyboard… but it’s convenient especially when you have your own stuff to use rather than borrowing/using from somebody else’s stuff… you have the freedom to do whatever you want to do with it… Sometimes, when I’m out, I bring this lappy with me to a nearby coffee shop and surf… and of course, I’m just surfing inside the car…haha

    I definitely want one of these, but shops here jack up the prices to like, 200%.
